This lonely tree in hostel compound seemed to sing to me. It sang about all the other inmates who were there in the same room I was in before me. It sang about the laughter of all the present and past student groups around it. It sang how the students come around it and sit to discuss their dreams and aspirations, the tensions and apprehensions of the student life, the joys of youth. It wanted a company and not just be a spectator of human emotions, but alas I could not fulfill its wish....
