This painting was a commisioned work for "Shared Heritage" an initiative started by Prof Bhagat at UMD. In his own words, "Mother Earth is the single most important shared heritage we all share"
His reaction to this work: "Thank you ever so much for your excellent and timely help in getting a beautiful work together in celebration of the shared heritage of humans. We are truly lucky to have such talented children who are ever ready to produce top class pictures to project this very important message. The EARTH gives birth to us and sustains us from the day we arrive till the day we depart. She accumulated great stores of highly useful ingredients which transpire to enrich our lives. What a giving MOTHER! How can we not be grateful to her."
